To honor our veterans and the men and women who serve to protect our nation and democracy.

Description/Services:

The group dresses in the uniforms of all the Services and all the ranks as living history enactors.  The group attends parades, memorials, and military shows; and speaks and educates the public about the sacrifices our veterans endured to win our Peace. The group is working to establish a veteran’s museum in Delaware.

To provide Arts Education for the entire family.

Description/Services:

CCArts offers classes in all the fine and performing arts for beginners through master classes for ages 4 years and up on a year-round schedule, including art for children with special needs. A 10-week summer day camp for 4 to 14 years old is offered. Individual music instruction is available.

 CACC operates the Montessori School and Child Care Center on weekdays. It also hosts The Chinese School of Delaware on  Sundays        during the school year. It sponsors many activities such as children’s folk dance, ballroom dance, karaoke, Chinese martial arts, adult choir, volleyball, etc.

Delaware Greenways works to accomplish this by preserving and connecting open space and greenways, increasing opportunities for walking and bicycling and creating more livable communities. The Hockessin group is instrumental in expanding open space and community improvements in Hockessin.

GHADA is an organization comprised of local public-spirited citizens who have an interest in the Greater Hockessin area. The Adult Activity Center is administered by New Castle County. Mission: 

To provide a nurturing environment for spiritual seekers “after the manner of Friends”, i.e., in silent expectant waiting on the spirit to move among us.

 

Description/Services:

The Hockessin Meeting is open every Sunday for an adult spiritual support group followed by worship. Children’s programs and childcare are provided during worship. Hockessin Friends Meeting also oversees a Pre-School, for three to five year olds, that meets on the premises each weekday morning from 9 A.M. to noon. Attendance options are available.
